Our Process
Initial Assessment & Engineering Plan
We begin with a full exterior inspection — assessing grade, existing drainage, soil type, and foundation condition. From this assessment, we develop a complete project plan including excavation depth, drainage routing, and any wall repairs needed.
Controlled Perimeter Excavation
Using excavating equipment and hand-digging where required near utilities, we excavate around the full foundation perimeter down to the footing level. Pennsylvania homes typically require excavation depths of six to ten feet.
Foundation Wall Cleaning & Crack Repair
With the foundation exposed, we pressure-wash the wall surface and remove all old tar and deteriorated parging. Active cracks are repaired using hydraulic cement or epoxy injection. Deteriorated mortar joints are repointed.
